The News Junkie
Growing up in an environment where there was always stuff going on around me, has always made me want to be in the know. Whether it’s the inclement weather outside, a political slippage of the tongue, or a blockbuster trade to put a team over the top; I have always wanted to know first.
I was the type of kid who everyone asked what the weather was going to be like today. I was also the one who ran outside during the tornado warnings. In school I knew all the controversy surrounding politicians, and the true intent of new legislature. Everyone would ask for my opinion on everything. And I loved giving it.
When I came to northwest, I was unsure of exactly what I wanted to be. Not because I was afraid but because I have so many interests. I remember taking my Gen. Geography course and coming to realize that this subject covers most everything. It had a section of history, sports, weather, criminology, psychology, sociology etc. This is why I selected GIS as my major.
When it comes down to it I think I have a passion for everything. There are certain things in life that my heart skips a beat for. Outside of the red clearance tags at Wal-mart, breaking news is probably the next best thing to me.
